Wins WorldSBK 2021, Toprak Razgatlioglu Floods Safe from Rivals and MotoGP Riders

Toprak Razgatlioglu’s success in winning the 2021 WorldSBK title has shocked the world of motorcycle racing. How come? He became the first racer to break the dominance of the Kawasaki Racing Team rider with the status of the best rider in history, Jonathan Rea, which has been going on since 2015.

Not only that, this Pata Yamaha WorldSBK rider is the first WorldSBK champion from Turkey, continuing the legacy of his mentor, Kenan Sofuoglu, who is a five-time WorldSSP champion. El Turco is also the first Yamaha world champion in WorldSBK since Ben Spies in 2009.

Great talent, classy achievements, aggressive racing style, and humorous character also make Razgatlioglu popular, until he is predicted to move to MotoGP in 2023. For this reason he is flooded with congratulations from riders from both WorldSBK and MotoGP.

Here are a series of congratulations from the drivers, including from Fabio Quartararo, Jonathan Rea, and Ben Spies himself.

Congratulations from Paddock MotoGP
“Congratulations, champion @toprak_tr54!” wrote Marc Marquez on Twitter, to which Razgatlioglu immediately replied. “Thank you, champion. Wish you a speedy recovery,” he wrote, remembering Marquez was recovering from a right eye sight injury.

“Number one, my friend! I’m so happy for you!” wrote Fabio Quartararo on Instagram Story. El Diablo also congratulated him via a video on the WorldSBK Instagram Story account. “Toprak, my friend! I want to congratulate you on your title. World champion, my friend! Congratulations! See you at the (FIM) Gala! Number one, buddy!”

“Congratulations guys! World champion @toprak_tr54!” wrote Gresini Racing MotoGP debutant, Fabio di Giannantonio, who was one of Razgatlioglu’s rivals when competing in the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2014.

Congratulations from Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes
“Congratulations @toprak_tr54, what a really impressive season. Enjoy the moment!” wrote Jonathan Rea, whose dominance since 2015 was broken by Razgatlioglu. Razgatlioglu himself has hit back. “Thank you legend. It’s an honor and pride to be able to fight with you. Thank you for everything, THE CHAMPION! @jonathan_rea,” he wrote.

“Congratulations to @toprak_tr45 @yamaharacingcomofficial @crescentmoto @patayamahabrixx! Great job and you deserve it. World champion,” wrote Alex Lowes, a Kawasaki Racing Team rider who is also a former Pata Yamaha WorldSBK rider.

From Scott Redding and Michael Ruben Rinaldi Racing rider Scott Redding also congratulated Razgatlioglu after he finished second in Race 1. “Race 1 today was very hot and humid, but we persevered until the end! I want to congratulate @toprak_tr54 for locking out world title 2021,” he wrote.

“Congratulations, Toprak! Throughout my career, you were the hardest to beat, and you deserve this title!” wrote another Racing Ducati rider, Michael Ruben Rinaldi.

Ben Spies and Kenan Sofuoglu
“What an amazing racing season at WorldSBK. Congratulations to @toprak_tr54!” wrote Ben Spies, the last rider to present a WorldSBK title to Yamaha in 2009, before moving to MotoGP in 2010.

Kenan Sofuoglu also via Instagram gave a message to his students. “Our flag is now with you, now keeping it on top for years,” he wrote on Instagram.
