The Batman only hit theaters last Friday – but fans are already asking when Vengeance is coming home. This is where The Batman will be released digitally.

Directed by Matt Reeves, new Hollywood epic The Batman was released on Friday March 4th to critical acclaim as Robert Pattinson donned the famous cloak and mask for the very first time. The film has already grossed over £97m at the box office, meaning it is already the second highest-grossing UK release this year. After a year-long delay related to the coronavirus, Caped Crusader fans were finally able to see British actor Pattinson in the role of Batman, pitting his wits against two of his most famous nemesis – The Riddler and The Penguin. With an epic running time of 2 hours 55 minutes, The Batman transports audiences back to Bruce Wayne’s early years as a masked vigilante, taking place just two years after Wayne’s Batman was born.

Alongside Pattinson, the film stars Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood, Ruby Sparks) as Batman’s main protagonist, The Riddler – a deranged former orphan boy who, with the help of a small online community, is desperate to bring him down City of Gotham and uncover the corruption that lives beneath its dark underbelly. Colin Farrell also appears, though almost unrecognizable, as Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin, with the Irish actor donning prosthetic makeup to transform him into the iconic comic book villain, while Zoe Kravitz poses as the Bat love interest and revenge partner awards , cat woman.

The film was acclaimed by critics and film fans alike, most of whom have praised the blockbuster as a huge success, earning it a 92% rating on the highly respected film review website Rotten Tomatoes. What streaming platforms will The Batman be released on? Following the film’s theatrical release, The Batman will also be available on a number of digital platforms, which will be available to buy or rent on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Google Play and more. However, at the time of writing, there is no confirmed release date.

The bad news for Netflix subscribers is that The Batman will not stream on Netflix as the film has confirmed it will stream on American streaming site HBO Max instead. When is The Batman coming out on DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K? The good news is that Matt Reeves’ DC hit has already had a confirmed release date, so those who can’t wait to own their own copy don’t have to wait too long.
