When Uzumaki Anime Release Date Reddit?
Sadly, there has been no Uzumaki anime release date announcement. However, if we were willing to bet when the series would be hitting our small screens sometime in late 2023 would be our best guess.
Ironically, Uzumaki seems a bit cursed when it comes to production. Originally, the series was supposed to come out in 2020, but Covid-19 hit and the animated series was postponed. The anime was scheduled to be released in October 2022. However, the show’s production results were unsatisfactory and it was delayed again.
I’m disheartened by all these delays, but let me tell you that the animation work is still going on and the show is in final production. So, a 2023 release date is still very much in the cards.
It should also be remembered that Netflix has released another Junji Ito horror series titled Junji Ito Maniac in January 2023. Therefore, to avoid conflict, Uzumaki will hold off on any announcements as it releases details for several months.
Uzumaki Countdown
No details were provided about Uzumaki’s premiere date for Adult Swim. However, we will update this page when news is released.

New Pokemon Anime’s First Trailer and Visual Highlights New Protagonist
Uzumaki was initially supposed to air on Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block. It was then expected to air in Japan and be available on Crunchyroll for international viewers.
Due to previous delays and time remaining until release, there is little way to confirm anything other than previously announced plans for Uzumaki’s airing.
The adaptation was first announced at Crunchyroll Expo in 2019, and the streaming service has been providing updates since then, so some distribution on platforms outside of the Adult Swim region is possible.

Uzumaki Production I.G animation studio
Production I.G is one of the most reputable animation studios in the industry, behind acclaimed animations such as Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass, and Haikyuu, as well as Attack on Titan and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
The series is directed by Hiroshi Nagahama, best known for directing the classic anime Mushishi. The composition of the series is handled by Aki Itami, who was in charge of the screenplay for Fruits Basket, and Mr. Takagi, the teasing master recently.
The main character, Kirie, will be voiced by Uki Satake, who recently played the beloved Tsubomi in Mob Psycho 100, and Shuichi Saito by Shinichiro Miki, who voiced Roy Mustang in the Fullmetal Alchemist series.
Meanwhile, the music is being composed by North American composer Colin Stetson. The song you can hear in the teaser trailer below – Between the Sef – is available on Spotify and other music platforms.

I would love to enjoy this amazing horror series in animated form! Even if it takes a little longer to get it right, hopefully it’s worth the wait.
