There’s a Justice League Member Cameo in Shazam 2!

Entertaiment

Shazam is one of the many lucky characters from DC Comics to have the opportunity to be a part of the DC Extended Universe cinematic universe. Played by Zachary Levi, the live action version of Shazam has made its DCEU debut through a solo movie entitled Shazam! last year 2019. Thanks to the success of the first movie, Warner Bros. DCEU founders have given permission to director David F. Sandberg to continue his story with Shazam 2 .

Officially titled Shazam: Fury of the Gods, this sequel is confirmed to feature Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as Shazam’s alter ego Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Djimon Hounsou as Ancient Shazam, along with a new cast, such as Helen Mirren as supervillain Hespera , Lucy Liu as supervillain Kalypso, and Rachel Zegler for undisclosed roles.

With a few months left of the release date, WB has just released an update regarding the movie Shazam 2 at the CinemaCon 2022 event taking place in the City of Las Vegas. Screen Rant, as a participant who attended the event, revealed that WB had shared a video from the movie Shazam 2 showing a cameo of Wonder Woman. Since the video has not yet been released publicly, Screen Rant helps describe the scenes in the video in written form. Check out the full description below:

“The video shows Shazam having dinner with Wonder Woman at a restaurant in Paris. Shazam tells Wonder Woman that he can’t commit, so the female superhero leaves him. But suddenly time stopped, and when he turned around it was not Gal Gadot, but Merlin who warned Shazam that the children of the god Atlas [Hespera and Kalypso] would soon come to him. Another footage shows a giant dragon. Shazam told Hespera he’s seen all the Fast & Furious movies and family is everything.”

Although the brief cameo is not a real event in the movie, it seems that it will be very interesting to see how one of the members of the Justice League, played by Gal Gadot, appears and interacts with Shazam. Where the scene seems to want to emphasize that Shazam is in the same universe as the Justice League DCEU. We will be able to see this eccentric scene as well, when the movie Shazam: Fury of the Gods is released on December 16, 2022 later.
