The words of the Dorna boss after Valentino Rossi was crowned a MotoGP legend


Valentino Rossi has officially been named a MotoGP legend, after the Italian racer decided to retire. As is known, MotoGP Valencia became Valentino Rossi’s last racing career, Sunday (11/14/2021).

Valentino Rossi spent more than 25 years as a MotoGP racer . His record of achievement is nine times won the world title, and it will be difficult to be rivaled by other racers.

At the end of his career, Valentino Rossi became a racer for the Petronas Yamaha SRT team. He was able to finish in 10th place in his last race at the Valencia MotoGP. In the final standings, Valentino Rossi is in 18th place with 44 points.

He was also named a MotoGP legend after receiving an award from Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta after the race in Valencia yesterday.

Dorna boss Carmelo Ezpeleta also commented on Valentino Rossi’s gait. Especially when the 42-year-old racer decided to retire from MotoGP.

According to him, Valentino Rossi is a special and fantastic racer.

“The only thing I can say to Vale is thank you very much. It’s been amazing since 1997 in Malaysia, we saw a guy doing a fantastic race but also very special for many reasons. We started talking to him then and since then, everything we’ve done together, with everyone who works in MotoGP, has been incredible.”
