The ambiguous comments of the Chelsea coach who satirized Juventus: Goals came from Academy players, you know?
Chelsea beat Juventus heavily on Matchday 5 Group H of the 2021/2022 Champions League , last night. As the host, Thomas Tuchel’s fleet won 4-0, while making them at the top of the standings.
Many special moments were created after the match at Stamford Bridge. One of them is the source of the hosts’ goals which came from Chelsea academy alumni players.
Chelsea coach, Thomas Tuchel said he was happy and proud of the quality of his team’s play that came from an internal nursery. Tuchel said this success signaled that the quality of student development at the ‘Chelsea football school’ was getting better.
In that match, Chelsea’s three early goals came from Chelsea school graduates. Trevoh Chalobah started the party with a goal in the 25th minute, followed by Reece James (55′) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (58′). Timo Werner’s goal in the 5th minute of second half injury time completed the greatness of the trio’s action.
“This is what makes Chelsea special. We not only have superstars, but the best players who come from internal development and education. This is an extraordinary combination,” said Thomas Tuchel.
Satire and Spirit
These words seemed to be a satire for Juventus . Understandably, Tuchel said that Juventus played too defensively, thus making the match just as if waiting for a goal.
“It was incredible the spirit of my team. We played against a team that defended very well, and managed to win. We deserved this special achievement,” said Tuchel.
For Chelea, this victory became an extraordinary capital before undergoing two consecutive matches on the English League stage. One of the toughest opponents awaits, namely Manchester United, this weekend.
“We will take a short break, then concentrate on fighting again in the next match. We have to keep our feet on the ground, because the next game is very tough,” said Tuchel.
