Valentino Rossi in Numbers: The Unique Gait of the MotoGP Legend

Yamaha Petronas SRT racer, Valentino Rossi , has done his last race in MotoGP. He has been paving for about 25 years, and The Doctor has closed his practice.

MotoGP Valencia is Valentino Rossi’s last stage. Although the 2021 season has not been a good year for him, he is still welcomed with joy.

Even football superstar, Ronaldo, also gave him a surprise in the paddock ahead of the race session at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit.

After the race, all the drivers and several team officials approached Valentino Rossi in one corner of the circuit.

Valentino Rossi’s long journey in the MotoGP arena is over. However, his legacy will remain forever even if he is no longer actively racing from this moment on.

432 Racing
Valentino Rossi has collected 432 races throughout his career. A total of 372 of them he acted in the 500cc class or MotoGP.

Of those 432 races, Rossi won 115 of them, of which 89 came in the 500cc or MotoGP class.

199 Podium
If only Valentino Rossi was able to get on the podium, then it would be the 200th time. Unfortunately, the nick of 199 podiums in MotoGP has not changed.

Throughout his career, Valentino Rossi has started racing from pole positions 55 times.

38 Circuit
Valentino Rossi has raced on 38 different circuits throughout his career. Amazingly, he won at least once on 29 circuits between them.

The Catalunya and Assen circuits are his favourites, because he won 10 races each at the two venues.

23 consecutive podiums
Still around the podium, Valentino Rossi listed himself as a successful racer on the podium 23 times in a row.

9 Degrees
He has collected nine world titles.

Two of them were obtained in the 125cc and 250cc classes. While the other seven are obtained in the 500cc or MotoGP class.

7 Motors
Valentino Rossi won the GP race with seven different bikes, namely 125cc Aprilia, 250cc Aprilia, 500cc Honda, 990cc Honda, 990cc Yamaha, 800cc Yamaha and 1000cc Yamaha.

3 Riders
There are three riders in the MotoGP class who have been on the podium together, but never stepped over Rossi on the first podium.

Meanwhile, Loris Capirossi is the only driver older than him who has ever shared the podium with him.

Valentino Rossi has been in Grand Prix racing for 26 years! No other rider has surpassed his long career in Grand Prix and MotoGP in particular.

Amazingly, The Doctor is not just a long career. He decorated his career with great achievements, embraced millions of fans, and made MotoGP even more brilliant.

However, Rossi has finally chosen to quit at the end of this season. MotoGP Valencia became the last dance or the last dance.

The MotoGP world is missing the figure of Rossi. Over the years he has become a MotoGP icon, and no one has matched his big name. Rossi’s charm is not even crossing barriers, even many other sports athletes to celebrities idolize racers from Tavulia.

Yamaha, the team that Rossi defended, in two separate periods throughout his career also lost the legend very much.
