1. Lewandowski won the Bundesliga, European Super Cup and Club World Cup
In addition to successfully winning a number of individual awards last season, Robert Lewandowski also managed to become an important figure in the Bayern Munich squad in winning several prestigious trophies. Last season he was able to bring his club to the Bundesliga trophy, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.

In three different events, the striker managed to donate several goals that successfully led his club to become champions. If the Ballon d’Or award is calculated based on trophies won, Lewandowski clearly has a chance to be the best.

2. Extremely consistent performance
Robert Lewandowski has been a very consistent player in the last decade. This was also proven by the player while defending Bayern Munich last season. When compared to his competitors, the 33-year-old is clearly much more consistent.

Because, Lionel Messi experienced a fairly difficult situation with Barcelona last season. Meanwhile, Jorginho is indeed on the rise, but he actually didn’t shine too much at the start of the season. In addition, Cristiano Ronaldo could only win the Serie A top scorer award, but failed to bring Juventus to become champions last season.

3. Lewandowski looks promising at the start of the 2021/2022 season
Compared to some of his competitors, Robert Lewandowski’s performance was far superior at the start of this season. So far, the Polish striker has scored 7 goals from 5 matches in the Bundesliga.

Not only that, he has also collected 2 goals in the first match of the Champions League. If the player is able to maintain that form, it is very likely that the Ballon d’Or award will fall into his hands.

4. Top scorer of any striker in Europe’s top five competitions
In the matter of scoring goals, Robert Lewandowski certainly does not need to be debated. He actually has a better record than the two current mega stars, namely Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last season, for example, Lewandowski managed to create 48 goals and 9 assists from 40 matches in all competitions. In total, the player was directly involved in 57 goals from 40 matches with Bayern Munich. That record is better than any striker in Europe’s top competition.

5. Breaking the record for most goals in the Bundesliga
Robert Lewandowski has the right to win the European golden boot in the 2020/2021 season after scoring 41 goals in the Bundesliga competition. The nick made the player managed to break the record of Gerd Muller as the top scorer (40) in a season in the German highest caste.

Even more special, Lewy, as he is usually called , scored 41 goals and 7 assists in just 29 matches. That means the player was always involved in more than 1.5 goals per game in the Bundesliga competition last season.

For the reasons above, Robert Lewandowski is considered more deserving to win the Ballon d’Or award this year. Do you agree with that?
