The second matchday of the Champions League groups A to D will be held on Wednesday morning (29/09) WIB. There were 10 matches that gave unexpected and surprising results. Two big matches ended with a tense climax. PSG managed to beat Man City who played very attacking with a score of 2-0. Meanwhile, AC Milan suffered a dramatic 1-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Playing at home to Porto did not discourage Liverpool players. 2. Beat Real Madrid, FC Sheriff’s fairy tale continues
The surprise team debutant FC Sheriff continues in the Champions League this season. This time they amazingly beat the most Champions League winners, Real Madrid at home with a score of 1-2. With this result, the Moldovan club topped Group D with 6 points, while Real Madrid finished second with 3 points.
This group was also filled with Inter Milan and Shakthar, who drew 0-0 in other matches. With this result, FC Sheriff has the potential to make a new history by being able to qualify for the knockout phase . Amazingly, this is the first time FC Sheriff has participated in the Champions League in the club’s history. This is also at the same time Real Madrid’s defeat this season.
3. AC Milan’s bad luck repeats itself
AC Milan had another bad luck in the Champions League for the first time since 2014. On the second matchday they lost again after being subdued by Atletico Madrid 1-2. Unfortunately, AC Milan repeated the nightmare as in the first match, they were facing a comeback against the opponent.

4. Lionel Messi finally scores his first goal for PSG
After the long wait, Lionel Messi was finally able to score his first goal for PSG this season. His one goal against Man City confirmed the victory for Les Perisens with a score of 2-0. This is Messi’s first goal of the season since his arrival from Barcelona last summer.
In his previous three matches in all competitions, Lionel Messi failed to score a single goal or assist. Many believe that now it is only a matter of time to see the greatness of the Neymar-Mbappe-Messi trio. With this result, PSG rose to the top of Group A with 4 points.
5. Mohamed Salah closes in on Didier Drogba’s record
Another player who caught the eye on matchday two of the Champions League was Mohamed Salah. His two goals against Liverpool made his goal collection in the Champions League to 31. He is now listed as the second African player with the most goals in this elite club-level competition.
He has just passed Samuel Eto’o’s score of 30 goals, and is 13 goals adrift of Didier Drogba, who is the African player with the most goals in the Champions League, 44 goals. With a long career, Salah has great potential to break the Chelsea legend’s record. This season alone, the Egyptian player has scored 3 goals in 2 Champions League matches.
