Barcelona head coach, Ronald Koeman, admitted that he was frustrated because his team was unable to maneuver much during the player transfer market. He was excited to see the news of the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, as well as the issue of Kylian Mbappe with Real Madrid.
Barcelona has difficulty adding to its fleet because it has exceeded the salary limit in the Spanish League. Even though the club’s management has also released the chance to recruit Lionel Messi because of a similar problem.
La Liga’s president, Javier Tebas, is very firm about this salary limit. According to him, it is one way to prevent La Liga clubs from going bankrupt and there is justice in the competition.
Inevitably, Ronald Koeman could not do much. When rivals, both in Spain and Europe, are actively buying players, Barcelona’s management is even confused about how to release high-paid players.
“Everyone who wants the best for Barcelona is frustrated. On the one hand, you have to be realistic because of financial problems, but on the other hand, this club can’t compete with PSG, Manchester City, or United (in terms of transfer maneuvers),” complained Koeman.

Realistic and Trusting Young Squad
Not many senior players still survive at Barcelona. Names such as Gerard Pique to Jordi Alba are still entrusted as mentors for young players.
Koeman can only hope that the existing squad can provide the best for Barcelona.
“The situation is like that. Maybe it will be a long time, not today or tomorrow (it will end). I always say, we have to be realistic. I can’t demand too much,” he added.
“What we have now is that we have to improve with young players. There is Pedri for example. Currently, the squad is good,” said Koeman again.
Kylian Mbappe’s Comments
Kylian Mbappe is being targeted by Real Madrid. Koeman did not deny that he would join the hunt for the PSG player if Barcelona had the money.
“If Madrid, right, have money. I want it too. If only there was money to buy these players, it would be better,” he snapped.
The world has gone crazy!” Koeman concluded.

Spanish League: Good news for Barcelona, Dutch duo ready to face Getafe
Barcelona coach, Ronald Koeman, can be relieved ahead of the Spanish La Liga match against Getafe at Camp Nou, Sunday (29/8/2021) night WIB. His two compatriots, Memphis Depay and Frenkie De Jong are fit and could be mainstays in that match.
The two Dutch players previously suffered minor injuries during Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao at the weekend.
Both were able to play for 90 minutes in the match at the Estadio San Mames. However, it turned out that both of them had a bit of a problem that made them miss practice.
Ronald Koeman continued to monitor the fitness of his two players in midweek, with Memphis Depay able to return to training on Wednesday (25/8/2021).
Meanwhile, Frenkie De Jong followed the Barcelona training session on Friday (27/8/2021) morning local time. The return of the two players makes Ronald Koeman now a mainstay for the match against Getafe. Depay will be a mainstay on the front lines, supported by De Jong from the second line.
The return of Memphis Depay and Frenkie De Jong did create a boost of motivation and enthusiasm for Barcelona to face Getafe. However, Ronald Koeman still has problems in defense.
Ronald Koeman will still be without Gerard Pique and Eric Garcia in this match. Gerard Pique suffered an injury in the match against Athletic Bilbao so he had to be withdrawn from the field in the first half.
