Eduardo Camavinga feels very happy to be in the Real Madrid uniform. For the 18-year-old, playing for Madrid is like realizing a childhood dream.
Camavinga officially joined Real Madrid on the last day of the summer transfer window this year, 31 August. The French player agreed to sign a contract with a duration of six seasons, or until June 30, 2027.
According to Sky Sports, Eduardo Camavinga was redeemed by Los Blancos from Rennes with a tag of 31 million euros, equivalent to IDR 520.7 billion.
El Real has been following Camavinga for several seasons. Former Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane, has long admired the player who made his Ligue 1 debut at the age of 16.
There is the belief at Real Madrid, Eduardo Camavinga is at the right age to learn – and eventually, take over – the roles of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric at the heart of the midfield.

“This is a dream I had when I was little. I can’t wait to play in a very impressive stadium. I hope to be able to play at the Santiago Bernabeu as soon as the renovation is complete,” explained Eduardo Camavinga.

Eduardo Camavinga will compete with Casemiro, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric in the Real Madrid midfield. Camavinga admitted that he wanted to learn a lot from the three seniors.
Camavinga is still 18 years old. However, the French player has become a regular at Rennes.
Camavinga was in demand by some elite European clubs. However, he chose to join Real Madrid this summer.
Los Blancos signed Camavinga for 31 million euros. The player is contracted for six years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The presence of Camavinga will enrich Real Madrid’s midfield options. The player admits he wants to learn a lot from senior midfielders like Casemiro, Kroos, and Modric.
“They are great players. Training and learning with them will be great,” Camavinga was quoted as saying by Managing Madrid.
