‘SBS Leaving’ Jae-jae escapes from ‘a salaryman with a rat’s tail’ and receives ‘celebrity pay'[Oh!sen issue]

On the 12th, the news that Jaejae had left SBS was delivered. On this day, an SBS official told OSEN, “We recently submitted a resignation letter and are currently coordinating the date and procedure. However, Jaejae will continue to serve as the MC of the ‘Civilization Express’, which was previously conducted.” 

Jaejae joined SBS as a PD, and he acted as an MC for the ‘Civilization Special’ with talent and wit as good as a celebrity. ‘Civilization Express’ became SBS’s representative YouTube content and was loved so much that top stars at home and abroad appeared on the program. 

But Jay had a problem. He had to spend a lot of time not only in PD work but also in ‘Civilization Express’ appearances. He also added to his worries about the ambiguous position of ‘Yeonban-in (celebrity + non-celebrity)’.

 

In 2021, when he appeared on KBS 2TV’s ‘Problem Child in the Rooftop Room’, he confessed his grievance, saying, “I overdo it when filming and regret it when I go home.” As soon as the filming is over, he goes back to Jaejae, an ordinary salaried office worker, and falls into a deep sense of skepticism.

In particular, after dancing or singing that was not ordered, he complained that a sudden hit came along with the thought, “I’m not a celebrity, so I wasn’t going to do that.” 

Also, since Jaejae belongs to SBS, he needed permission from the company to appear on other broadcasting stations. In particular, I was active at the level of a celebrity, but since I am an office worker, my salary was at the level of an ordinary office worker. 

Previously, when he appeared on JTBC’s ‘Only walk the money-settlement talks’ in 2020, he said about his salary, “I can’t tell you because of the salary confidentiality clause.” In response, Song Eun-yi said, “The average monthly salary of newcomers between the ages of 26 and 30 is 2 million won.” It is an SBS affiliate, so the salary is not high.” In addition, about the income of the ‘Civilization Express’ at the time, “The profit is extremely small. I can tell you that he is the size of a rat tail.” 

However, with the resignation from SBS, Jaejae’s activities were restricted. He is not affiliated with SBS and is freed from the title of PD. When he was affiliated with SBS, he worked for a salary as an office worker, but now that he is a freelancer, he will receive ‘celebrity pay’. 

At the same time as leaving SBS, Jaejae announced that he had been selected as a DJ for MBC Radio’s ‘Date at Two O’Clock’. On the 12th, MBC Radio announced, “Jaejae will be hosting ‘Date at 2 o’clock’ from May 29th.” Jaejae will be the 15th DJ of ‘Date at 2:00’, following Muzi and Ahn Young-mi, who left on the 16th of last month.

The production crew of ‘Date at 2:00’ said, “The talent’s infinite charms, such as witty progress, overflowing excitement, and excellent agility, will energize listeners at 2:00 PM.” I will make it,” he said.
