Ronaldo is willing to sacrifice his salary for this reason in the 2022/2023 Premier League transfer market

Manchester United (Man United) star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly willing to cut his salary to leave the red devils in the 2022-2023 Premier League transfer market .

Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly ready to take a significant pay cut to force a move from Old Trafford to a club competing in the Champions League.

The 37-year-old’s future with the Red Devils is believed to be uncertain as the Ballon d’Or winner has allegedly asked to leave the club this summer.

Man United endured a disappointing 2021-2022 Premier League season and only managed to finish sixth in the Premier League, then qualify for the Europa League failing to qualify from the Champions League.  It is thought that Ronaldo, who recently missed the last two training sessions, now feels that he cannot fulfill his ambitions at Old Trafford and wants to move on.

Ronaldo wants to try to continue to play at the highest level and win titles. Champions League once again before hanging up his boots.

According to the Independent, the forward is willing to take a sizeable pay cut to cover a move to the Champions League club this summer.

Although potential may still struggle to get a reasonable contract offer.

The report adds that Ronaldo is currently earning over £500,000 per week at United, but some sources claim he is actually pocketing over £700,000 per week.

Chelsea have recently been in touch with the Portugal legend, despite Man United the prospect of selling him to another Premier League rival, while Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Sporting Lisbon have also been credited with an interest in Ronaldo.

The driving force behind Cristiano Ronaldo ‘s desire to leave Manchester United (Man United) in the 2022/2023 Premier League is reportedly involving PSG’s Lionel Messi.

Tony Cascarino claims that Cristiano Ronaldo is desperate to leave Manchester United because he fears Lionel Messi will surpass his goalscoring record in the Champions League.

It was revealed on Saturday local time in England that Ronaldo had made it clear to the Old Trafford hierarchy that he wanted to leave Man United in the transfer window this summer.

Just 12 months after he re-signed for the club from Juventus in the Italian League Serie A.

Man United failed to qualify for the Champions League after a disappointing Premier League season last year, and Ronaldo is reportedly not interested in playing in the Europa League under new boss Erik ten Hag next season.

The 37-year-old is eager to challenge for major honors in the twilight years of his career, but Cascarino believes there is another compelling reason.

Cascarino mentioned that Ronaldo’s desire to leave Manchester United this summer was because the Portuguese superstar was afraid of losing one of his most impressive personal records from Lionel Messi.

Reporting from Talksport, Ronaldo is the Champions League’s biggest goalscorer with a total of 141 goals in the competition over the last 19 years.

However, Lionel Messi, who will play in the tournament with Paris Saint-Germain next year, is only 16 goals adrift of his rivals.

And Cascarino insists that Ronaldo’s “ego” and that specific record were the driving force behind his transfer request.  “It’s great, he scores goals, he gets awards, he’s one of the greatest to ever play the game. You can have all of that and it’s fine, as long as you win. When you don’t win, now you have a problem.” Then, Cascarino said he was a bit suspicious because he scored 141 goals in the Champions League. Messi got 125 goals.

Since joining Manchester United for the first time in 2003, Ronaldo has continued to play in Europe’s premier competition every year.

Given that the veteran wants to ensure that his incredible run continues, it is believed that he will only leave United for a club that can offer Champions League football.

Just days after it emerged that Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, had been in touch with the Blues.

Serie A’s Napoli and Roma have also been credited with an interest in signing Ronaldo’s services in this summer’s transfer window .
