Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel praised his team’s superstar, The N’Golo Kante . He emphasized how important the Frenchman was to the Blues.

He also revealed the unique secret behind the success of the French player, N’Golo Kante .

“When I say he’s active on the pitch, he’s really a very different person off the pitch. He can be very calm, almost shy, plays chess, he can sleep for hours and hours, and rest,” Tuchel told Chelsea’s official website, Wednesday (12/29/2021).

“So he played hard. But he rested very hard, and this is probably the key to his success.”

“He’s really humble, and very calm and a great guy to have. Once he’s in top shape, unscathed and mentally confident in himself physically, then he has a huge impact,” added Tuchel.

In the eyes of Thomas Tuchel, N’Golo Kante is like a player and a half. Chelsea seems to have added half a player.

“We feel we have two N’Golo Kante , one attacking and one defending. He helps everyone off the pitch and don’t forget he puts a lot of confidence in everyone around him and lifts everyone up. So, what can I say? I’m happy. , and very lucky he is in our squad,” said Tuchel.

Tuchel frustrated with his team’s injury storm
Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel, admitted to being frustrated by the storm of injuries that hit his team. Most recently, Thiago Silva and N’Golo Kante were injured in the 19th Premier League match.

A visit to Aston Villa’s headquarters at Villa Park, Monday (27/12/2021) early in the morning WIB, the London Blue Team controlled the game. Chelsea carved 57.9 percent possession of the ball, compared to 42.1 percent belonging to The Villa.

The Blues also fired 10 shots, four of which were on goal. Shown dominant, Chelsea managed to end the game with a score of 3-1.

The three winning goals for the London Blue Team were scored by Jorginho in the 34th minute and 90 +3′, and Romelu Lukaku in the 56th minute. The only goal for Aston Villa was created thanks to a Reece James own goal in the 28th minute.

Unfortunately, Chelsea’s victory came at a price with injuries to Thiago Silva and N’Golo Kante. Silva was taken off in the 52nd minute and replaced by Andreas Christensen, while Kante had to be replaced by Mateo Kovacic in the 63rd minute.

The Injury List Is Getting Longer
This situation adds to the long list of injuries to Chelsea players. Before Thiago Silva and N’Golo Kante, Ben Chilwell was still sidelined due to not recovering from a knee injury.

In addition, the Blues cannot play with a number of names because they are still exposed to COVID-19, namely Kai Havertz and Timo Werner. The number of Chelsea players who are absent due to injury and exposure to the corona virus makes Thomas Tuchel frustrated.

“We have other players who are injured. We are playing against a team that does not have international matches. At some stage it will catch us,” said Tuchel.

Who decides that? They made us play,” he continued.

“We played two cup games. We played against a team with games postponed. This is not the right way,” said the German manager.
