Manchester City managed to win over Burnley 2-0 in the Premier League while in the other match Chelsea suffered a crushing defeat against Brentford.
Manchester City’s two winning goals were created when the game had only been running for 25 minutes. The Citizens’ first goal was scored by Kevin De Bruyne in the fifth minute.
Rodri saw Raheem Sterling’s position on the right side open and then sent an accurate pass. Sterling did not waste time to directly pass the ball at De Bruyne. De Bruyne then stabbed the ball into the top right corner of the Burnley goal.
Sterling again spoiled his team-mates well in the process of the second goal. Sterling pierced the left side of the Burnley defense with his running speed.
Sterling then sent a pass which was immediately met by Gundogan’s shot which Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope couldn’t block.

Chelsea v Brentford 1-4, Slaughtered at Home . The match between Chelsea vs Brentford in the 31st week of the 2021/22 Premier League has ended on Saturday night, April 2, 2022. This match also presented a surprise for football lovers.
It happened when Chelsea had to be slaughtered in her own home. Unmitigated, Brentford crushed it with a score of 4-1. This is the Blues’ worst result after never losing in the last six matches in the Premier League.
Chelsea actually performed quite well in the early games. How not, Thomas Tuchel’s men were able to take the lead through Antonio Rudiger’s goal in the 48th minute. He managed to take advantage of a measured pass from N’Golo Kante.
Unfortunately, this advantage did not last long. Two minutes later, Vitaly Janelt was able to make it 1-1 after maximizing Briean Mbeumo’s pass. Four minutes later, Christian Eriksen was able to turn things around to make it 2-1 for Brentford.
Janelt again listed his name on the scoreboard after receiving Ivan Toney’s pass in the 60th minute. Brentford finally locked the win through Yoane Wissa’s goal, three minutes before normal time was over.
Throughout the second half, Chelsea actually had the opportunity to minimize the lag. However, the efforts made by Rudiger, Kante, Cesar Azpilicueta and Kai Havertz, still have not met the target.
Chelsea’s 1-4 defeat finally lasted until the referee blew the long whistle signaling the end of the 31st week of the Premier League match. This result also makes it difficult for the Blues to catch Liverpool who are in second place in the standings.
