Premier League: Ex-Liverpool Insinuates Tottenham Don’t deserve to be side by side with Chelsea and Manchester United
Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, believes that Tottenham Hotspur’s level is still very far from the big four teams in the Premier League even though Antonio Conte has now handled it.
Antonio Conte’s debut at Tottenham Hotspur ended quite sweetly. Harry Kane et al. 3-2 win over Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League continued last week.
The result was a sweet start for Conte, who was contracted with a duration of 18 months plus an extension option. As for he was paid with money amounting to 13 million pounds.
The duration is the same as what Thomas Tuchel received when he came to replace Frank Lampard. The Tuchel contract was then added two more years following the success of winning the Champions League trophy.
However, Carragher assesses that the two managers cannot be beaten equally considering the status of the Tottenham Hotspur club is not as light as Chelsea. What did he say?

Carragher stressed that Tottenham’s 13-year trophy-free record means the North London club is still far from being compared to Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United .
“Many think that Conte is in the same condition as Tuchel, for whom Spurs will give him an additional contract duration, the same as when Tuchel got him after winning the Champions League title in just six months,” Carragher wrote in the Daily Telegraph.
“In fact, Conte certainly knows, what he coached is Spurs, not Chelsea. It’s a waste if you think Conte will end the season like Tuchel at that time, namely winning titles.”
purs are far compared to Chelsea, Manchester City or Liverpool.”
“Last weekend together we see, how Manchester United are so superior,” he wrote again.
