Premier League: Eits Wait Real Madrid, Manchester United Are Ready To Abort Chelsea Defender Transfers

Real Madrid are reportedly one step away from getting the signature of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger. However, Manchester United are ready to thwart the plan.

Antonio Rudiger has seven months remaining on his current contract at Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, talks to extend the contract with the Blues have failed.

According to the Independent , his brother and agent, Rudiger Sahr Senesie, held talks with Real Madrid representatives over the past few weeks.

The two parties are said to have reached an informal agreement.

Real Madrid are interested in signing a new centre-back in the upcoming transfer window, having failed to find replacements for Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane during the summer.

Antonio Rudiger, who is believed to be asking for an annual salary of 12 million euros to stay at Chelsea , has made 20 appearances in all competitions for Thomas Tuchel’s side this season. He recorded two goals and two assists.

Man United ready to bend
According to The Independent , Manchester United were impressed with Rudiger’s game. They want to bring him to Old Trafford.

This is because the MU defense tends to be unstable in recent years. Even though they already have a number of top central defenders.

The presence of Rudiger who has been tested in the Premier League is expected to make MU’s defense more solid. So they will try to secure the 28-year-old defender.

MU is not just a discourse in approaching Rudiger. They are really serious about getting the services of the defender.

United’s representatives have reportedly contacted Rudiger’s agent. They have already expressed their interest in the defender.

Rudiger’s party is still studying the offer from MU. So they have not confirmed or rejected the Red Devils offer.

Rudiger’s Requested Salary

Rudiger could sign a pre-contract with a club outside of England on 1 January. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are reportedly ready to double Antonio Rudiger’s salary to woo him out of Chelsea.

Real Madrid are ready to offer Rudiger a salary of £200,000 per week.
