Chelsea , as reported by The Sun , are starting to worry about Mason Mount’s future. The West London club had difficulty giving Mason Mount a contract extension.

Chelsea is currently being sanctioned by the British Government in the form of freezing the assets of the owner, Roman Abramovich. The sanctions were received after Russia invaded Ukraine, where Abramovich has close ties to President Vladimir Putin.

The freezing of Abramovich’s assets meant that Chelsea had to be sold to a new owner. In addition, Chelsea are also prohibited from buying and selling players until they are officially sold.

The situation made Chelsea worried about being left by Mason Mount. The player currently has a contract until 30 June 2024 at Stamford Bridge.

However, a number of elite clubs began to pay attention to the situation at Chelsea. Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly interested in securing the services of the English player.

Chelsea are now hunting for time to quickly find a new owner. If it doesn’t happen in the near future, it’s likely that the Blues will lose Mason Mount and other quality players.
