Chelsea are reportedly interested in selling Timo Werner, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Ross Barkley in this summer’s transfer window.
The Blues are said to be planning a sale despite the uncertainty surrounding the club’s ownership.
According to The Telegraph via Sports Mole, Sunday (10/4/2022), the London giants will seek funds by selling unwanted players this summer. Werner, Kepa and Barkley are all likely to be available.
Werner is again struggling to make his mark for Thomas Tuchel’s side during the 2021/2022 campaign. The German has only scored three goals and provided one assist in 16 Premier League appearances.
Kepa, meanwhile, remains number two after Edouard Mendy at Stamford Bridge. The goalkeeper received a sizeable salary package but mostly sat on the bench.
Barkley has also struggled to secure a regular spot this season. He made just 12 appearances in all competitions, including just five of Chelsea ‘s Premier League games.
Timo Werner is in danger of being dumped by Chelsea next summer. There are several clubs that can accommodate him.
Werner joined Chelsea in 2020. The German striker was redeemed at a fairly expensive price from RB Leipzig.
But two seasons at Chelsea, Werner has often been the target of criticism. This is because his performance is not optimal with Chelsea.
Werner has not been able to score goals on a regular basis for Chelsea. As a result, the player is often parked on the bench by manager Thomas Tuchel.
Looking at his work so far, it can be concluded that Werner did not succeed at Chelsea . He could be included in the list of selling the Blues in the summer.
