Premier League: 3 Manchester United stars believed to be afraid of Cristiano Ronaldo

News

Three Manchester United stars are believed to have been intimidated by Cristiano Ronaldo’s behavior when Manchester United was detained by Newcastle United 1-1 in the Premier League, Tuesday (12/28/2021) early morning WIB.

The comments were made by former Aston Villa player, Gabriel Agbonlahor. According to him, the interim manager of Manchester United, Ralf Rangnick, should start trying to consider removing Cristiano Ronaldo from the starting XI.

Ronaldo has scored 13 goals in 19 games for the Red Devils this season, since signing from Juventus in the summer of 2021.

However, the 31-year-old was heavily criticized for his stupidity in United’s draw with Newcastle at St James’ Park.

Ronaldo was lucky to escape a potential red card for a foul on Ryan Fraser. Referee Craig Pawson only gave a yellow card.

Agbonlahor now claims three Manchester United stars Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford were intimidated and frightened by Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence on the pitch.

Ronaldo’s attitude is accused of changing
“It seems to me that Ronaldo only cares about his goals,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider , as quoted by Sportbible , Wednesday (12/29/2021).

He raised his hands in the air at not getting the chance. Then after the game he ran off the pitch sulking and I imagine him sulking in the dressing room.”

“His attitude changed. Every time they had a chance to shoot, he raised his hand to say, ‘Why don’t you give me a chance?’,” Agbonlahor added.

Influence on Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood
According to Agbonlahor, the declining performance of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood cannot be separated from the presence of Ronaldo at Old Trafford.

If I were Rashford, Greenwood or Sancho, I would say to myself, ‘Oh, why did we have to bring him here?

Rangnick always made Ronaldo a starter in his first three Premier League games with Manchester United. Ronaldo listed his name on the scoreboard against Norwich City.
