Former Liverpool player, Glen Johnson, predicts the 2021/2022 Premier League title race. He called only Chelsea as the only team that could rival Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title this season.
Chelsea had stumbled under Frank Lampard last season. The Blues management then replaced Lampard with Thomas Tuchel in the middle of the season.
The decision to appoint Tuchel as the new tactician felt very right. Chelsea was able to rise under the tutelage of the German.
Chelsea managed to secure the fourth position in the Premier League. They also closed the season with the Champions League title.
As defending champions, Manchester City is favorites to win the Premier League this season. However, Johnson saw Chelsea could be a stumbling block for The Citizens.

Chelsea is a real threat
“Any team that wants to try and face Manchester City has to improve from last season,” Johnson told BonusCodeBets on Saturday (4/9/2021).
Chelsea bought Romelu Lukaku to increase the strength of his front line. According to Johnson, Lukaku’s presence makes the Blues even more dangerous.
Chelsea will be a real threat this season.”
Johnson played for Liverpool for six years. However, he does not see his former team can compete in the race for the Premier League title this season.
“Injuries can damage a Liverpool team, while second-team Manchester City can still be in the top six. Strength and depth like this can make all the difference going through the season.”

Sevilla Not Satisfied With Chelsea Offer
We are not satisfied with the offer, and it is linked to Chelsea selling players,” said Mochi, as quoted by the Mirror, Friday (2/9/2021).
“We haven’t spoken to Chelsea since Friday night. We all decided that Jules should not go to Elche. It’s normal for players to be affected by any news. Last year he had interest from City and this year Chelsea,” added Mochi.
It was previously reported that Sevilla had agreed to a £42.7 million deal with Chelsea. At that time Chelsea was reportedly just looking for an agreement with the player.
