One Piece: The Villains Who Become Luffy’s Allies!

News, Anime

The One Piece story has been going on for about 25 years. And during that time, many things have been presented in the series. One example is how Luffy meets various characters. Luffy met with Sanji, Zoro, Nami, and Usopp at the beginning of the journey as a pirate and then they formed the Straw Hats.

As time goes by, more and more people or characters the Straw Hat crew encounters on their adventures. Among them there were later joined as members of the Straw Hats, there were also those who later became allies. In addition, Luffy also has to deal with various characters. However, what’s interesting is that some of the villains that Luffy has faced are now his allies. Anyone?

Bon Clay / Mr. 2
Mr. 2 / Bon Clay, is a former Baroque Works agent led by Crocodile. Although he was originally one of Luffy’s big villains in the Alabasta arc, but then their relationship began to change. They have become very close friends. Luffy and Bon Clay meet again when Luffy infiltrates Impel Down to save Ace.

There is a touching thing in this incident, where Bon is willing to sacrifice his life to save Luffy. Bon Clay was thought to be dead, before it was later discovered that he was still alive and was in prison level 5.5 in Ivankov’s place. Many fans hope that Oda will return to present a reunion moment for these two characters.

Nefertari Vivi
Like Bon Clay, Vivi was also originally part of Baroque Works. She has the nickname Miss All-Sunday. However, this changed after Luffy and the others found out that the reason Vivi became part of Baroque Works was to disguise himself. He did it on purpose to protect and prevent Crocodile from destroying Alabasta.

After knowing all the facts, Luffy himself actually helped Vivi with her mission. And even at the end of the arc Luffy invited Vivi to join the Straw Hat crew. Nefertari Vivi is actually an “unofficial” member of the Straw Hats, because in the Alabasta arc Luffy had invited Vivi to join. However, for the time being Vivi chose to stay in her kingdom and take care of everything until the time was right to join.

Hatchan is a former member of the Arlong pirate crew who also hurt the residents of Cocoyashi Village. In fact, he even had a feud with Nami.

We can see this in the Sabaody arc yesterday, where he and Camie actually helped Luffy to find Rayleigh. On the other hand, Luffy is even willing to beat up the sky dragons and face the admiral to help Hatchan.

In the One Piece series, Bellamy has a fairly long history in his feud with Luffy. For example, in the Skypiea arc we see how they fight because Bellamy mocks Luffy’s dream as well as his dream of being able to go to the sky island. Bellamy himself briefly reappeared in the Dressrosa arc, where he became part of the Donquixote crew.

However, after the fight against Luffy, Bellamy finally turned into a much better person. He even began to agree and support what would later become Luffy’s dream. In addition, Bellamy also eventually joined the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. It’s certainly interesting to see Bellamy’s reappearance at the end of the One Piece series.

Nico Robin
How the story of Nico Robin joining the Straw Hats may be one of the most moving stories in the series. Nico Robin briefly joined the Straw Hats at the end of the Alabasta arc. He really wanted to die and Luffy chose to help him and prevent Robin from dying. Can’t go anywhere else, Nico Robin finally became part of the Straw Hat crew.

A major event then occurred at Water 7. CP-9 managed to track down Robin and asked him to turn himself in. Although Robin initially refuses, he is forced to agree due to the threat of the Buster Call. In order to save the lives of the other crew, Robin decided to agree to the request. However, after knowing Robin was missing, in the end Luffy and the Straw Hats went to save Robin and this became one of the most touching moments.

Luffy is famous for his ability to get everyone around him to help him. In fact, the figure has never met or even communicated with Luffy before. Luffy’s attitude and stance that might make these villains finally want to become allies and join Luffy.
