Ralf Rangnick has not really officially become the interim manager of Manchester United . However, the 63-year-old man has already caused small ‘waves’ that cause anxiety.
United approached some top coaches after parting ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Had approached Rudi Garcia and Ernesto Valverde, the choice finally fell on Ralf Rangnick.
Rangnick initially turned down United’s offer because it came in the middle of the season and was only short -term. However, Rangnick changed his mind after getting an additional position after completing his duties as interim manager.
Rangnick is currently completing a work permit to start office at Old Trafford. But, yet to come and be announced, there are a number of problems awaiting Rangnick. Anything? See below for Bolaneters .
Unhappy Changing Room
Speculation about Rangnick’s arrival circulated massively in the media. However, no official information was received by the United players from the club. Either through meetings or WhatsApp groups.
United players only received rumors of Rangnick’s arrival from media reports. It apparently triggered a negative response among players. They were disappointed with the lack of communication from United.
They feel the need to get official information from United’s management. Because, in the near future, Rangnick will take over training and the players need to be prepared for new situations that may occur.
The future of Ronaldo
The burden on Ronaldo’s top has been heavy in recent weeks. Not only a difficult situation at the club, Ronaldo was also faced with a strange situation experienced by the Portuguese national team.
Portugal failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup via qualifying. Portugal will have to fight through the play-offs. They have to beat Turkey, and maybe Italy, to be able to play in Qatar.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s future at United is in doubt following the arrival of Rangnick. Ronaldo will no doubt adjust to Rangnick’s ‘heavy metal’ style of play at United. Because, Ronaldo has not had the burden of pressing.
Rangnick has a very distinctive style of play. But can United’s players quickly absorb the new ideas that Rangnick brings?
In this regard, Jurgen Klopp has even warned Rangnick. Klopp said the mentor’s main challenge was time. He didn’t have much time to explain his ideas to the players.
“You have an idea, but you have to adapt it to your team, and I don’t think it’s easy when you come in the middle of the season and there are quite a few 20 games between here and New Year’s Eve,” Klopp said.
The Fate of Carrick and Colleagues
Michael Carrick is currently United’s interim manager. He completed the first task well, bringing United a win over Villarreal. The match against Chelsea will be his second job.
Carrick was assisted by Kieran McKenna and Mike Phelan in carrying out the task. They are the people who were not kicked by United after ending their cooperation with Solskjaer.
Now, the fate of Carrick and colleagues is still uncertain. Carrick knew exactly what was going on and the situation in United’s locker room. He is an old man in the club. But, whether he will match Rangnick or not, there is still no official information.
