Newcastle United Moves to Eat 3 Serie A Giants

After being acquired by a new owner from Saudi Arabia, Newcastle United reportedly immediately moved to deepen their squad. They are rumored to be eyeing a number of stars who are now playing in Serie A.

With the presence of a consortium from Saudi Arabia under the banner of the Public Investment Fund led by Prince Mohammad Bin Salman whose wealth is estimated at 350 billion euros (equivalent to Rp. 5.749 trillion), Newcastle is predicted to become Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) a few seasons ago.

Reported by Tuttosport , Newcastle have set their sights on Serie A clubs. They are ready to attract several Serie A stars to the Premier League, assuming Italian clubs need an injection of funds in order to compete with other top European teams.

1. Newcastle are eyeing some Juventus stars
One of the clubs currently being monitored by Newcastle is Juventus. They reportedly want to undermine the strength of the Old Lady by landing a number of players at St James Park, such as Aaron Ramsey, Federico Chiesa and Matthijs de Ligt.

Ramsey has long been rumored to be leaving Juventus. If the Welshman leaves in January 2022, Juventus will benefit because at the very least, Newcastle will need to spend money to sign him.

As for Chiesa and De Ligt, Newcastle seem to have to work hard. Moreover, these two players are becoming important figures in the front and back lines of Juventus. Chiesa himself was approached by Chelsea, but the player refused and chose to stay at the Allianz Stadium.

2. Newcastle eyeing penalty champion AC Milan
Besides Juventus, AC Milan is also a club that is monitored by Newcastle. There is one Milan player that Newcastle is eyeing, namely Franck Kessie. The Ivory Coast player’s contract with Milan will expire next season, namely in June 2022.

Newcastle also continues to monitor Kessie’s development. Indeed, previously Kessie was rumored to be moving to Liverpool. However, if you take the right approach, it is not impossible that Kessie will be close to Newcastle.

3. Newcastle are also eyeing the Inter Milan duo
In addition to AC Milan and Juventus, Inter Milan is also a club that is being targeted by Newcastle. There are two players at Inter who have been targeted by Newcastle. They are Stefan de Vrij and Marcelo Brozovic. However, it will be difficult for Newcastle to recruit these two players.

De Vrij and Brozovic are now still the backbone of Inter’s game, both in Serie A and the Champions League. If Newcastle United want to bring in both of them, they have to dig deep. Moreover, Inter also need funds after the losses suffered at the end of the 2020/21 season.
