Manchester – Erik Ten Hag is reportedly sticking out as the most favorite candidate to become the new manager of Manchester United. MU is said to have checked the data and track records of all the candidates, and Ten Hag got the best score.
As quoted by The Sun , Tuesday (22/3/2022), MU has checked the background of each of the names being targeted. In conclusion, they now believe Ten Hag deserves to be manager for at least the next five years, as well as bringing the Red Devils back to the top of English and European football.
United want to make announcing a new manager before the end of the season, so that a new boss can get to work before the 2022 summer transfer window.
Thomas Tuchel briefly emerged as a surprising candidate to replace Ralf Rangnick, capitalizing on the turmoil and crisis at Chelsea.
However, Manchester United are worried that the pursuit of Tuchel will actually drag on throughout the summer, and potentially disrupt the player’s spending agenda. In addition, MU will wait a long time and finally be disappointed.
So, MU chose a definite option and assessed Erik Ten Hag as the most potential candidate.
Signal from Van Den Sar about Erik Ten Hag – Previously, Manchester United (MU) legend and current Ajax head, Edwin van der Sar, had hinted that Erik Ten Hag would leave Amsterdam this summer for Old Trafford.
United are currently being coached by interim manager Ralf Rangnick and are rumored to have slashed the shortlist for the next full-time manager to just two. They are Erik ten Hag, who has managed Ajax since 2017 after stints at Utrecht and Bayern Munich II, and Mauricio Pochettino, currently at Paris Saint-Germain.
Reports are growing that Erik ten Hag has grown tired of transfer management at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Van der Sar has come as a surprise that Ajax are gearing up for their manager’s departure in the near future.
“It means we are doing something well.
“When we perform well, interest comes. If there is interest in our players or coach, yes it happens. So we have to make sure we are ready by then. The list is filled.”
