The film The Suicide Squad kicks off acclaimed director James Gunn’s slick collaboration with the DC franchise ahead of the confirmed Peacemaker TV series. This film is arguably successful in getting rid of Suicide Squad, which was released in 2016 with a more grandiose action dish and absurd jokes.

Not much different from the first iteration, this film is centered on a mission carried out by the villains in the DC universe. But Gunn added more subplots, including more action and bloodshed from start to finish. The majestic action is decorated with gore scenes, including the scene of a stabbed heart, which is immediately presented with pleasantries. And there’s even a kaiju in DC!

The plot moves quickly, from one battle to another, but not accompanied by a clear character arc. Delivered, and passed.

Half a sequel, and half a reboot, Remembering Gunn recalls the popular character in the first film, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). Harley is made more complex and gets a better arc than the first film, complete with romance scenes.

In this film, we are met with new characters such as Bloodsport (Idris Elba), “Muerte instantánea (2019) Película completa” Peacemaker (John Cena), and Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior) to other famous names; Savant, played by Michael Rooker (Yondu in The Guardian of the Galaxy ) and Sylvester Stallone, who also voices King Shark. More Marvel than DC
James Gunn, who was originally known for leading The Guardian of the Galaxy, had to leave due to his old tweets on social media. It was there that DC approached the 55-year-old director to reproduce the critically shattered Suicide Squad, although it sold well in theaters “3096 días (2013) Película completa“.
