According to Semper Milan’s report, AC Milan feel that they are currently in short supply of players who can operate as a trident behind the centre-forward, should Franck Kessie leave at the end of the season.
AC Milan is reportedly monitoring the situation of Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard as a strong candidate to replace Franck Kessie next season.
In that position, AC Milan still has Brahim Diaz, but this season the Spanish midfielder has appeared erratic. His position was displaced by Kessie who is rumored to have agreed to move to Barcelona for free at the end of the season.
To fill the vacancy in the trequartista position, the Milan director duo, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Masara have targeted several names, one of which is Jesse Lingard.
The 29-year-old Manchester United attacking midfielder will leave the Red Devils when his contract expires on June 30. Until now there is still no sign that Lingarad will extend his stay at Old Trafford.
The Rossoneri management are monitoring the situation, they assess that the England international can become an important signing next season.
Given the quality of Linggard, who shone on loan at West Ham last season, it’s no wonder Milan are seriously targeting him as Kessie’s successor.
Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard is also rumored to only ask for a net salary of around 4 million Euros per season, a figure that is not too difficult for the Rossoneri to fulfill.
Recently, Jesse Lingard was caught taking a photo with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Milano. This further strengthens the rumors that he has been getting closer to AC Milan in the summer transfer market.
Is Jesse Lingard Suitable to Replace Kessie?
If Jesse Lingard’s transfer to AC Milan materializes, then he will patch the big hole left by Franck Kessie.
As it is known that Kessie is almost certain to be in Barcelona’s uniform next season. Kessie and his agent are even reported to have agreed to an offer of a salary proposal of 6.5 million euros plus bonuses from Barcelona.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Barcelona are currently working on finalizing the transfer of Franck Kessie from the Rossoneri.
“Barca reached Kessie’s agreement. Barcelona are preparing a contract to complete the signing of Franck Kessie for free,” Romano wrote on his personal twitter account.
In the last few matches of AC Milan, Kessie was given a slightly different role by coach Stefano Pioli. He played a central role as a No 10 midfielder who was also tasked with breaking the rhythm of the opponent’s game.
Together with Ismael Bennacer, Kessie took turns supporting the attack line while diligently going down to cover the depths of the Milan midfield which is usually guarded by Sandro Tonali.
If Linggard is brought in next season, then he will have no trouble filling the role left by Kessie.
Lingard has been known as an attacking midfielder who actively presses and is diligent in helping United’s defense sector.
AC Milan Is Hesitating to Sign Renato Sanches
Italian League giants AC Milan are reportedly hesitant to bring in Renato Sanches in the summer transfer market even though an agreement has already been made.
It is common knowledge that AC Milan is being linked with Renato Sanches. The rumors could not be separated from the situation of Franck Kessie at the San Siro.
The latest news from Antonio Vitiello leaked if the transfer will be realized soon. The reason is, Renato Sanches has said OK for the Rossoneri uniform.
Antonio Vitiello added that AC Milan only needed to carry out final negotiations with Lille to find a middle ground regarding the dowry for the departure of Renato Sanches.
However, according to Tuttosport, AC Milan is reportedly hesitant to bring in Renato Sanches in the summer transfer market.
