In the third free practice which took place at the Sachsenring Circuit, Saturday (18/6/2022) noon WIB, Pecco Bagnaia appeared to be gacor from the start. When the session had 8 minutes remaining, Bagnaia managed to carve out a time of 1 minute 19.765 seconds.

The record also broke the record for the fastest lap at the Sachsenring Circuit in the MotoGP event. Previously, the Italian racer made a record at the Sachsenring in FP2 MotoGP Germany 2022 , Friday (17/6/2022).
