For centuries, the world’s greatest sailors have sailed the vast Pacific and discovered the islands of Oceania. However, 3000 years ago, the voyage stopped after 10 centuries, and no one knows what caused it. Walt Disney Animation Studios presents Moana, an animated film inspired by Polynesian mythology and culture. The film, directed by famous directors, Ron Clements and John Musker, tells the adventures of a teenage girl who leaves the calm zone in her life. He leaves his island for a thrilling journey. All that he did to save the people in his homeland.
Moana (Auli’I Cravalho) is the princess of the Motonui tribe. From a young age, her father, who was the head of the Motonui tribe, always forbade Moana to go to sea. However, the grandmother is very different from the father. Her grandmother always supports Moana to go to sea, even her grandmother tells a very interesting thing that there is a lot of other life outside the island of Motonui.
The grandmother once told that a long time ago there was a green sea heart belonging to Te Fiti, which provided a balance of life on earth. However, something unexpected happens, a demigod named Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson) steals the heart of the sea and destroys the island. The grandmother also gave a mission to Moana so that she could return the heart of the sea that was stolen by Maui to Te Fiti.
Moana finally forced herself to go to sea and sailed across the Pacific Ocean in search of Maui to join her. At first Maui was reluctant to follow Moana, but with the help of the sea power Maui finally joined Moana. The two set sail on the high seas on an action-packed adventure, encountering massive lava monsters and unexpected opportunities.
In the journey of Moana and Maui, they sometimes get into conflict. Until finally Maui didn’t believe in his ability to defeat the big lava monster and decided not to continue the fight and left Moana in the middle of the sea. Will Moana be able to complete the mission given by her grandmother? Can Maui’s stolen heart return to Te Fiti?
