Pledis Entertainment has again announced that one of its artists has tested positive for COVID-19. After 9 SEVENTEEN members , this time one of the NU’EST members was declared exposed to the virus.
This was revealed by Pledis Entertainment through a statement released on weverse. NU’EST’s Minhyun tested positive for COVID-19 after feeling symptoms of a mild fever and sore throat.
He was declared negative after undergoing an independent test on March 8,” said Pledis Entertainment.
“However, while undergoing a rapid test as a precautionary measure, Minhyun tested positive. He then underwent a PCR test and was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 9, 2022,” he continued.
Furthermore, management said that Minhyun is currently undergoing treatment at home. They also confirmed that Minhyun had absolutely no contact with other NU’EST members.
“Minhyun is currently not feeling any other symptoms except a low-grade fever and sore throat. He is undergoing treatment at home. Minhyun has absolutely no contact with other NU’EST members,” explained Pledis Entertainment.

Minhyun tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the release of NU’EST’s farewell album titled NU’EST The Best Album – Needle & Bubble. The special album will be released on March 15, 2022, right on the day of NU’EST’s 10th anniversary as a group.
Previously, Pledis Entertainment officially announced that the contracts of NU’EST members ended on March 14, 2022. JR, Aron, and Ren agreed not to continue the contract with Pledis while Baekho and Minhyun would remain under the same management.
