Maximum in American MotoGP, Quartararo Surrenders to Yamaha

Fabio Quartararo from the beginning has mentioned that the Yamaha YZR-M1 needs an increase in top speed . However, his complaints were not heard until he had to fight as best he could in the 2022 American MotoGP .

The French racer seemed resigned to the situation. However, he didn’t just give up and kept fighting until he managed to finish in seventh position.

“That’s how it is, I always give 100 percent. Unfortunately, that’s the best I could get today,” said Quartararo, quoted from Speedweek.com , Monday (11/4/2022).

Quartararo added that he was used to the lack of top speed on his motorbike since the first series. In the end, he had to fight with what he had.

“I gave my all today. To be honest, even though seventh, this is the most important seventh. I can even say I’m happy, not with the result, but with the race I showed. I fought as if to win,” said Quartararo.

In the last few laps, Quartararo had a tight competition with Marc Marquez . Despite losing, Quartararo managed to learn a lesson.

“Of course I had the opportunity to see a lot of things about the bike and its riding style. You can always learn from the eight-time world champion. I think today was very important to feel the competition and see it up close,” said Quartararo.

Currently, Quartararo is in fifth place in the 2022 MotoGP standings with 44 points. The difference with Enea Bastianini at the top of the standings is only 17 points adrift.

In contrast to the 2022 American MotoGP FP3 Results, the Fastest Quartararo

Fabio Quartararo became the fastest racer in the FP3 free practice session at the 2022 American MotoGP . This result was achieved after a tight competition with Enea Bastianini . Quartararo managed to record his best time with 2 minutes 2,361 seconds. The Yamaha rider was slightly ahead of Bastianini by a difference of 0.059 seconds.

Jack Miller is still in the top three in FP3. While behind him, there was Marc Marquez who rose to fourth position.

The Repsol Honda rider was lucky enough to be behind Andrea Dovizioso. Thus, the timing is better with slipstream. Francesco Bagnaia is in fifth position. While the sixth position, occupied by Pol Espargaro. The two riders are less competitive than in the previous free practice session.

Joan Mir, who had fallen and was lucky not to have a serious injury, was in seventh position. Then, Takaaki Nakagami is in eighth place.

While the ninth position, occupied by Luca Marini. Completing the top ten, filled by Aleix Espargaro. However, Aleix failed to directly enter the Q2 qualifying session.
