1. Zoe Kravitz
The Batman is not the origin film for Batman. However, this film instead provides an origin story for Catwoman. Plus, Zoe Kravitz is quite successful in playing Selina Kyle or Catwoman in this film. The interesting fact is that Kravitz has starred in a Marvel movie that was released 11 years before the release of The Batman.
Kravitz’s first experience starring in a superhero film was when he appeared in X-Men: First Class (2011) playing Angel Salvadore. Unfortunately, Kravitz does not appear again in the next X-Men films. Although not back in other X-Men films, X-Men: First Class is apparently not the only Marvel film starring Kravitz.
Four years before the release of The Batman, Kravitz was one of the voice actors in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). In the animated film, Kravitz is the voice of Mary Jane Watson. In total there are two Marvel films starring Kravitz.
2. Andy Serkis
Where there is Batman, there must be a loyal servant, namely Alfred Pennyworth. In The Batman, Alfred is played by an actor known for his motion capture performances, namely Andy Serkis. It’s no secret that Serkis managed to steal the show when he played Gollum in the film series The Lord of the Rings. Then, he took on other unique roles, including King Kong and Caesar in the Planet of the Apes film series.
In 2015, Serkis finally joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) by playing Ulysses Klaue in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Then, he returned to play Ulysses in Black Panther (2018) and his character was killed in the film. However, he still returns as the voice of Ulysses in the animated series What If?. In addition to starring, Serkis also directed a Marvel film, namely Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021).
3. Colin Farrell
Who until now still doesn’t know or doesn’t think that Penguin is played by Colin Farrell? As a result of using prosthetic makeup that is so convincing, Farrell’s appearance as Penguin is really dazzling and difficult to recognize.
Long before being chosen as Penguin, Farrell first starred in the Marvel film, Daredevil (2003), 19 years ago. In Daredevil, Farrell also plays a villain named Bullseye. Unlike his role as Penguin, Farrell’s face looks so clear when he plays Bullseye. But when he became Bullseye, Farrell appeared with a bald head and a touch of prosthetic makeup on his forehead.
