Manchester United player report card against Arsenal: Fred and Ronaldo are full of smiles!

Manchester United picked up full points when they hosted Arsenal at Old Trafford, Friday (12/03/2021) early morning WIB.

Man United host Arsenal in Week 14 of the Premier League 2021-22. This match was exciting.

Arsenal could steal the first goal through Emile Smith Rowe’s goal. But MU can equalize the score through Bruno Fernandes.

MU then turned ahead through Cristiano Ronaldo . But Arsenal quickly equalized via Martin Odegaard.

Ronaldo then managed to make MU winning again over Arsenal. This time through a penalty kick.

Man United also managed to win 3-2 over Arsenal. Then how much rating did the Red Devils players get in this match?

David De Gea
Rating: 5.5

David de Gea still appears deft to dispel threats from Arsenal’s attackers. He had made one brilliant save over the opponent’s kick in the first half.

However, De Gea can be considered responsible for the creation of Arsenal’s first goal. That goal is ridiculous.

De Gea’s right foot was stepped on by Fred. Then he rolled over in pain. He should have kept trying because the referee didn’t blow the whistle indicating a foul. This makes Emile Smith Rowe easily scored with a volley from outside the penalty box.

Diogo Dalot
Rating: 7.5

Diogo Dalot faces a difficult task in this match. He had to guard Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

In addition, he also had to face Tavares who sometimes overlapped. But Dalot was able to secure the right side of Manchester United’s defense solidly.

He is tough in one-on-one duels. He also played a role in the creation of Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal.

Victor Lindelof
Rating: 6.5

Victor Lindelof played quite solidly in defense. He has a good duet with Harry Maguire.

He is solid in resisting Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang or Emile Smith Rowe. Although at first he seemed uncomfortable defending, especially in set piece situations.

As the game progressed he appeared to be getting better. He is often in a good position to block the opponent’s attack.

Harry Maguire
Rating: 7

Trying to give the best for Manchester United in this match against Arsenal. He looks solid at the back.

In addition, he also seemed to have provided assistance in attacking Arsenal’s defense. In the first half Harry Maguire even had time to shoot on target from outside the penalty box.

Its role is increasingly crucial at the back. In the final minutes of the second half, he kept out Arsenal’s attacks, especially in the top ball.

Alex Such
Rating: 6

Alex Telles faced Gabriel Martinelli in this Manchester United vs Arsenal match. He looks good while defending.

He was quite good when he had to duel one on one with Martinelli. Telles also tried to help MU when attacking.

Unfortunately he was caught off guard. He was conceded by Martinelli who was free standing on the right flank and provided the bait for Martin Odegaard’s goal.

Scott McTominay
Rating: 5.5

Scott McTominay played in the middle along with Fred. But he did not shine as much as the Brazilian player.

Understandably, he was assigned to focus more on defense by the Manchester United boss. It’s a shame he didn’t do his job well.

He failed to prevent Arsenal’s second goal through Martin Odegaard. He let the opponent free alone in front of the line of MU defender.

Rating: 8

Apart from the moment when he accidentally stepped on David de Gea’s foot, Fred performed well. He actively moves in midfield, and tries hard to connect the back line with the front line.

Fred isn’t just a MU attacking motorcycle. It also lays down the Red Devil’s defenses.

This Brazilian player also had time to provide a bonus, namely an assist to Bruno Fernandes. He then became the actor for being awarded a penalty for MU in the 68th minute, which was then executed well by Cristiano Ronaldo.

In addition, he also had time to contribute to the defense of MU. He blocked Bukayo Saka’s shot in the final minutes of the second half.

Jadon Sancho
Rating: 6.5

Shown on the right wing. He couldn’t show much of his individual actions.

But it was involved in both goals scored by Manchester United to Arsenal’s goal. It was the player who gave Fred a clever pass before Bruno Fernandes’ goal

Jadon Sancho then repeated it in the second half. He gave a short ball to the penalty box which ended in Fred’s foul by Martin Odegaard.

Bruno Fernandes
Rating: 6.5

Bruno Fernandes appears behind Cristiano Ronaldo. However, he did not get many creative opportunities.

Opponents do not give him many opportunities to control the ball or provide space to shoot. But the ingenuity of his movement led to goals for Manchester United.

He entered from the second line to score the first goal for Man United against Arsenal. Calmly Fernandes directed the ball to the far post even though he had got a challenge from Gabriel. He did not play full in this match.

Marcus Rashford
Rating: 6.5

Marcus Rashford started this match but only played 80 minutes. He plays on the right wing post.

Rashford did not get many opportunities to show off. He was under close scrutiny from the Arsenal defence.

But he played a role in the creation of Manchester United’s second goal which was produced by Cristiano Ronaldo. He found a gap on the right wing and provided mature assists for CR7.
