Live-action Cowboy Bebop for Netflix restores the trio of famous parents

The three old men from the Cowboy Bebop anime, Antonio, Carlos and Jobim, will return in the Netflix series, as can be seen in a new frame.

Cowboy Bebop is an upcoming live-action Netflix series that will adapt the popular anime of the same name. A few days ago we told you why we believe that this time we will face a great anime adaptation for streaming platforms, unlike other failed attempts like Death Note.

And it turns out that our impression wasn’t misguided as we continue to receive information about Cowboy Bebop indicating that the series will take into account iconic moments from the anime.

In this exclusive still shared by EW, John Cho can be seen as Spike roaming the cafe terrace in his classic blue suit. Most striking in the picture are the people sitting at the table we see on the right, as they appear to be Antonio , Carlos and Jobim .

They are easily recognizable from their hairstyles and from the clothes they wear: on one hand we have one with a red baseball cap, on the other with a beige wide-brimmed hat and the last one shares the character of his haircut and beard.

These three characters appear in the anime sporadically and serve as comic relief. The three old men used to appear playing and chatting about past stories that they don’t quite remember.

Even though they have no direct relationship with the main characters, their path always ends across the solar system. And despite occasionally interacting with them, none of them seemed to recognize themselves from their previous encounter.

As you can see, this point is being reached to try to offer fidelity to the original material. Hopefully in the series we finally see the trio star in one of those comic moments once again, when Cowboy Bebop hits Netflix on November 19th.
