Leicester await Chelsea’s third bid for Wesley Fofana

Leicester City are apparently not satisfied with Chelsea ‘s two bids for Wesley Fofana . Therefore, The Foxes are waiting for a third.
Fofana is one of Chelsea’s target centre-backs this summer. Losing Antonio Ruediger and Andreas Christensen made Chelsea inevitably have to hunt for a replacement.

Chelsea have so far only got Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli. The arrival of Koulibaly and the stay of Cesar Azpilicueta alone is not enough for Chelsea to face four competitions plus the 2022 World Cup in the middle of the season.

So Chelsea continue to hunt for Fofana, although so far the offers that have come have not satisfied Leicester. Chelsea first offered 65 million pounds but were flatly rejected.

Then, last weekend, there was a proposal of 70 million pounds, or around Rp. 1.2 trillion, which Leicester again rejected. Rumors have it that Leicester asked Chelsea to pay Fofana around £85 million or £5 million more than Harry Maguire’s record when he was released to Manchester United.

Because, Fofana is only 21 years old and her career is still long so it deserves a high price. With the money from Fofana’s sale later, Leicester want to find a quality replacement.

“I still haven’t heard of a third offer. There have been two offers, but the value is still far from the club’s request. We want to emphasize once again that Wesley is not for sale, that’s an important point,” Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers said in the Daily Mail.

“He’s not a player we want to sell, but naturally we’d consider offers from other clubs,” Rodgers added.

“He’s a top young defender and not many players his age have performed that well. He’s a player you want to keep here, but we’ll have to wait and see how he develops.”
