Arsenal reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Man City to sign Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal desperately need a new striker. They are now no longer reinforced by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
Now on the attack line they only have Eddie Nketiah left. He has just officially extended his contract at Arsenal.
However, Arsenal still need additional ammunition again.
The best choice? Since joining Manchester City in 2016, Gabriel Jesus has managed to become an integral part of Guardiola’s squad. The Brazilian was able to make his 100th appearance when he beat Watford 4-0 in July 2020. He won 77 matches at that time. (AFP/Oli Scaff)
Arsenal are often linked with Gabriel Jesus. There are only 12 months left on the Brazilian’s contract.
Jesus is also reportedly ready to leave Man City. Because he doesn’t want to be pushed to the bench again.
Previously, Jesus was often a cover for Sergio Aguero. When Aguero left, he was still rotated a lot and then often played on the right wing.
Next season Jesus threatened to be on the bench more often. Because Man City have brought in Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
Deal with City Arsenal, which will be left by Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, will certainly need a new striker. Later the name Gabriel Jesus became the Gunners’ target list. Meanwhile, Jesus himself is claimed to be interested in moving to Arsenal, especially after the arrival of Erling Haaland to Manchester City. (AFP/Paul Ellis)
Now there is good news for Arsenal. Their approach to Manchester City regarding the transfer of Gabriel Jesus has yielded positive results.
City is said to have received an offer from Arsenal. There is no written agreement, but only verbally.
This news was reported by a journalist named Ben Jacobs, while speaking at Football Terrace. Ben also claims Jesus is also interested in a move to Arsenal.
Soon Gabriel Jesus. The 24-year-old is now in his 6th season with Manchester City. In total, he has appeared in 220 matches in all competitions with 88 goals and 43 assists. With the Brazilian national team, he has collected 54 caps, with 18 goals and 13 assists. (AFP/Oli Scarff)
Ben Jacobs claims the transfer of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City to Arsenal may be completed in the near future. Maybe within a week to 10 days.
“With Jesus Arsenal are still at the forefront and I think that signing is very possible. Jesus, as I understand from sources close to the player, was very impressed with the strategy of Arteta and Arsenal, and by strategy I mean they had sold the move to him based on the focal point in the team and that was in stark contrast to Manchester City, where he rotated and limited playing time,” said Ben Jacobs.
“Manchester City basically want £45m as a base fee, maybe a little extra if you count the extra that might be guaranteed.”
