1. Have a dream to be a professional basketball player

Nam Joo-hyuk was born on February 22, 1994 in the Busan region, South Korea. At first, Joo-hyuk actually had no interest at all in going into acting. You see, Joo-hyuk’s dream as a child was to become a professional basketball athlete.

Hence, the actor who has a height of 187 centimeters joined a basketball team for three years when he was in junior high school. 2. Starting a career in the entertainment world as a model

After failing to become a professional basketball athlete, Nam Joo-hyuk finally took advantage of his tall stature into another field, namely modeling. Yep, although now more famous as an actor, Joo-hyuk actually started his career in the entertainment world as a model first. Joo-hyuk did this when he was 19 years old by entering a model competition held by YG Entertainment.

Nam Joo-hyuk started his career as an actor through the Korean drama The Idle Mermaid. After that, Joo-hyuk became more and more actively involved in a number of dramas, even if only as a supporting actor. Joo-hyuk just really became the male lead through the drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo who also made his name as an actor.

In addition to gaining popularity, Nam Joo-hyuk also managed to get a lover after starring in the Korean drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo. This is because Joo-hyuk is in love with a location alias cinlok with Lee Sung-kyung who is his co-star by playing his lover in the drama. The two of them often appear together as lovers at various award events.

Unfortunately, their relationship did not last long.
