Jung Woo Sung Comeback to Main Drama After 10 Years of Vacuum


Jung Woo Sung will return to the small screen after being busy in films and behind the scenes. He will reunite with actress Shin Hyun Bin.
The news was delivered by STUDIO & NEW. Jung Woo Sung and Shin Hyun Bin will be starring in a romance drama titled Tell Me That You Love Me.

The Korean drama is an adaptation of the Japanese drama of the same title which aired in 1995 on TBS TV station. At that time, the drama won popularity and won many awards at the Television Drama Academy Awards, such as Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Actor.

Jung Woo Sung will be starring as the main character named Cha Jin Woo. He is a deaf person who feels freedom in his own quiet world and is a relaxed person even though many people look down on him because of his shortcomings.

Shin Hyun Bin plays Jung Mo Eun, a girl who struggles to achieve her dreams and love.

Tell Me That You Love Me not only steals the attention because of the two top actors who will star in it. This drama is also highly anticipated because it brings together writer Kim Min Jung, who was previously successful through Love in the Moonlight and The Sound of Magic, with director Kim Yoon Jin who stole attention through Our Beloved Summer .

This drama will be Jung Woo Sung’s comeback drama after 10 years. He last starred in a drama in 2011 through Padam Padam.

In 2020, Jung Woo Sung did fill the void of the character played by Bae Sung Woo who resigned from the drama Delayed Justice. But for the drama that was entrusted to him from the start, Tell Me That You Love Me was the first.

The plan is that this Korean drama will start filming at the end of 2022. However, the broadcast schedule is still under discussion.
