Jose Mourinho angry: I have to match the mentality of AS Roma players? Oh my!

Sports

Jose Mourinho did not hold back his criticism of AS Roma players . Especially after the club nicknamed the Giallorossi lost to Juventus in the Serie A match which was held at the Stadio Olimpico, Monday (10/1/2022).

The battle between the two top Italian clubs is running fiercely. Roma had taken the lead first through a goal scored by Tammy Abraham in the 11th minute, before Paulo Dybala replied seven minutes later.

Early in the second half, Roma kicked off and produced two more goals thanks to Henrikh Mkhitaryan and a free kick from Lorenzo Pellegrini. Winning 3-1 in the second half, Roma was seeded as the winner.

But the situation changed when entering the 70th minute. In just seven minutes, the Giallorossi’s goal conceded three goals. Manuel Locatelli, Dejan Kulusevski and Mattia de Sciglio put Juventus ahead 4-3.

Must Get Out of Your Comfort Zone
Three points that are already in sight are wasted. It’s natural for Mourinho to be angry. The Portuguese-blooded coach did not hesitate to criticize the mentality of his players who were considered weak.

I didn’t want to,” he continued.

One New Player Coming Soon
Mourinho emphasized how important it is for the club to bring in the players it needs. So far, Roma have got one player. And Mourinho confirmed that one more figure will come in the near future.

“I want to work here every day for three years, not one day less. I need help from a club that can match our potential,” he said again.

AS Roma should be able to reap three points from the continued Serie A match against Juventus which was held on Monday (10/1/2022) early this morning. Unfortunately, they actually lost by a thin score 3-4.

The club nicknamed the Giallorossi had won twice from the guest. They scored first in the 11th minute through Tammy Abraham’s header, before Paulo Dybala replied seven minutes later.

At the beginning of the second half, they managed to add two goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Lorenzo Pellegrini which made the score 3-1. The score margin of two goals is sometimes difficult to pursue, especially if the match has entered the second half.

But Rome became an anomaly. Entering the 70th minute, in the space of seven minutes, they conceded three goals from the actions of Manuel Locatelli, Dejan Kulusevski and Mattia De Sciglio. As a result the position turned to 3-4.

No Problem Win 3-2
Roma had a chance to equalize in the 81st minute, after Matthijs de Ligt had a handball that earned him a second yellow card. Unfortunately, Pellegrini failed to produce a goal from this golden opportunity.

Of course this is a question. How can Roma be chased by Juventus when they are already far ahead? Even though Juventus have problems on the front lines. The coach, Jose Mourinho, revealed that his players were having mental problems.

The 2-3 killed us. Felix had a great performance, ending a sprint against Cuadrado. I pulled him off and his substitute made a mistake.”

Fear is created. Psychological complexity. I have no problem winning 3-2, that’s a problem for them,” he told DAZN .

Weak Player Mental
Roma were burdened when Juventus started to catch up when the coach didn’t really care what the score was. As long as the Giallorossi win, that’s enough for the Portuguese coach.

But there are some people in this dressing room who are too good, a little weak,” said Mourinho again.

Unfortunately, the game did not end like that,” he concluded.

This result clearly worsens Roma’s chances of finishing in the top four of the Serie A standings. They are now in seventh place with 32 points, five points behind Juventus who are now in fifth position.
