SM Entertainment recently announced the health condition of one of its idols. NCT ‘s Jisung tested positive for COVID-19.
During the two years of the pandemic, NCT was one of the K-Pop idols whose members did not catch the virus.
Through a statement released by SM Entertainment, Jisung has received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccination. So, he only experienced mild symptoms.
“NCT’s Jisung tested positive for COVID-19 on April 29, 2022. Jisung had previously received three doses of vaccination, so he didn’t experience anything other than a sore throat,” said SM Entertainment.
SM Entertainment also revealed the condition of the other NCT Dream members. Management confirmed that other members besides Jisung were tested negative for COVID-19 with a rapid antigen test.
“Other NCT Dream members have undergone rapid antigen tests as a precautionary measure. All of the members’ test results have been negative,” added SM Entertainment.
“Our agency will continue to follow the health protocols that have been determined by the medical side. We will prioritize the health of our artists and will help Jisung to recover quickly. Thank you,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, NCT Dream has just released their latest album entitled Glitch Mode. The album achieved a number of accomplishments, including a debut on the Billboard 200 chart at number 50.
Not only that, Glitch Mode also became the fifth best-selling album in the United States this week. They peaked at number five on Billboard’s Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales shortly after their release.
Glitch Mode also debuted at number two on Billboard’s World Album Chart and seventh on the Independent Album Chart.
It is known, NCT 127 and NCT have entered the Billboard 200 chart several times. However, NCT Dream’s achievement this time is extraordinary because unlike NCT 127 and NCT, NCT Dream does not have a distributor in the United States.
NCT Dream released Glitch Mode on March 28, 2022. In it there are 11 songs with different colors.
