The 2021/2022 Champions League trophy became Marcelo’s last title for Real Madrid after winning the final match against Liverpool which took place at the Stade de France, Sunday (29/5/2022) WIB. Los Blancos managed to win through the only goal scored by Vinicius Junior in the 59th minute.

Marcelo is reportedly soon getting a new club. The former Real Madrid is said to be moving closer to AC Milan.

This summer, Real Madrid officially ended their partnership with Marcelo . The defender’s contract was not renewed so he had to find a new club.

So far there are still many clubs interested in Marcelo. Even though it is old, its performance is still considered quite okay.

Reported by AS, Marcelo has the potential to continue his career in Italy. AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing the defender.

According to the report, AC Milan are very interested in signing Marcelo. Because they are in need of experienced players on their team.

In the next season, Milan has a mission to defend their Scudetto title. While they are also ambitious to add to their Champions League trophy acquisition.

That’s why Marcelo is a good candidate for them. Because the defender has a winning mentality that has been tested for years.

Must Sacrifice Marcelo. The 34-year-old Brazilian left-back has played for Real Madrid for almost 15 years after signing from Fluminense in the middle of the 2006/2007 season for a fee of 6.5 million euros. He has won various prestigious titles, including 6 La Liga trophies and 5 Champions League trophies. But Marcelo reportedly had to make sacrifices if he moved to Milan. Because Milan could not pay him dearly.

The Rossonerri are reportedly only able to pay Marcelo at 3 million Euros per season. This figure is only half of what he received at Real Madrid.

So AC Milan is currently worried that the defender will move to the San Siro next season.

Alternative Options
Marcelo himself reportedly also received an offer to continue playing in La Liga next season.

Real Valladolid president Ronaldo Lima reportedly wants to use his services next season.
