Manchester City are reportedly identifying Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot. This player was mentioned as a potential replacement for Ilkay Gundogan .

Since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2016, Gundogan has made 288 competitive appearances for The Citizens. He contributed 52 goals and 37 assists.

The Manchester City captain has continued to be an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s side this season. Gundogan has scored three goals and provided four assists in 35 appearances.

Despite being a prominent figure in the Man City dressing room, Gundogan’s future at North West is in doubt. Moreover, his current contract will expire at the end of the season.

Although Guardiola wants to retain Gundogan’s services, the midfielder is yet to decide whether to stay at the Etihad Stadium or seek a new challenge.

Having entered the final six months of his current contract, the Germany international is free to sign pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs.

Barcelona are believed to be monitoring the situation as they consider whether to offer the 32-year-old a deal.

Juventus’ certainty of getting the full three points over Verona’s home win was determined by Moise Kean’s only goal in the 60th minute. The goal occurred after Moise Kean was able to take advantage of Adrien Rabiot’s pass.
With Gundogan’s future yet to be decided, Manchester City have started scouring the market for a potential replacement.

According to Football Transfers, The Citizens have identified Rabiot as a possible transfer target should Gundogan leave at the end of the season.

The France international remains with Juventus, where he has made 29 competitive appearances this season, registering seven goals and two assists.

Like Gundogan, the 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has yet to sign a new contract.
