Having money and power, Man City is sure they can bring Erling Haaland to the Premier League

Manchester City are reportedly confident of winning the race to sign Erling Haaland ahead of this summer’s transfer market.

The Norway international will leave Borussia Dortmund when the £67m release clause in his contract becomes active.

Man City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are thought to be in contention for his signature.

A recent report claims that Haaland is looking to move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. Los Blancos are stepping up pursuit after suffering setbacks in their bid to sign PSG striker Kylian Mbappe.

However, according to Marca , Monday (11/4/20220, Man City believe they have the money and power to sign the Norwegian and are confident of bringing him to the Premier League).

The 21-year-old has returned to good form for the club during the 2021/2022 season. Despite his injury, Erling Haaland scored 23 goals and registered seven assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.

High cost

Despite having a relatively low release clause, the overall deal for Erling Haaland is likely to cost around £300m including agent fees and player salaries.

But, Man City officials feel that they will be able to get rid of Real Madrid.

In addition, City believe that they can put together a strong financial package due to the recent sale of players. The report suggests City feel the temptation to work with Pep Guardiola could also affect Haaland.

The forward has scored 80 goals and registered 22 assists in 84 appearances for Dortmund since moving from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020.

English League: Having a crush on Darwin Nunez, MU must spend Rp2.1 trillion!

Benfica manager Nelson Verissimo claims that Darwin Nunez could cost around £113 million or Rp. 2.1 trillion. Manchester United (

The Uruguayan is in excellent form for the Eagles in the 2021/2022 season. United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have all been linked with the 22-year-old.

Benfica are thought to value Nunez at around £60m, but Verissimo says the forward’s asking price could be similar to the £113m Atletico Madrid paid the club for Joao Felix in 2019.

“What do you think? Darwin is an extraordinary player, he has shown all his qualities. He has helped the team a lot, it is true that the team helped him a lot,” Verissimo told reporters via Sports Mole , Monday (11/4/2022).

Buying a new striker is included in MU ‘s shopping agenda in the summer. The Red Devils need a new striker because Edinson Cavani is reported to be leaving in the summer.

“That will happen at the end of this season or next season, depending on what he has shown, it is natural that it will arouse interest from other clubs and of course there may be a time when he leaves. Now regarding the numbers, I hope as a Benfica fan that he will go for a number close to Joao Felix’s. Now it’s not for me to enter a number in that field.

New Adventure
Nunez still has more than three years left on his contract with Benfica, putting the Lisbon giants in a strong position when it comes to potential negotiations this summer.

“In my daily life with the players, in what it is given to us to observe in training and in matches, of course we see top players and all the top players arouse the interest of big European clubs. Darwin is on that list, of course.”

The striker is reportedly interested in playing in England. So MU has the opportunity to secure his services.
