Ahead of Arsenal vs Liverpool in the Premier League 2021-2022: The Reds Are Threatened Without Mohamed Salah

The 27th week of the postponed Premier League 2021-2022 match between Arsenal vs Liverpool will take place on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in the early hours of WIB. Ahead of the match, the Reds (Liverpool’s nickname) are expected to be without Mohamed Salah when they travel to the Emirates Stadium.

As is known, Moahamed Salah was withdrawn shortly after scoring the second goal for Liverpool in the match against Brighton & Hove Albion, Saturday 12 March 2022 ago. After the match ended 2-0 for Liverpool, the coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Mohamed Salah only suffered a minor injury.

However, Mohamed Salah was not seen at Liverpool’s training session in Kirkby, Monday 14 March 2022. As reported by Goal International, Mohamed Salah is expected to miss the match against Arsenal.

It was a crushing blow for the Reds. The reason is, they have a mission to stick closely to Manchester City, who is now at the top of the 2021-2022 Premier League standings . Moreover, the team made by Josep Guardiola failed to win over Crystal Palace.

Of course, it became the momentum for the Reds to cut the distance between the points with Manchester City. If managed to win over Arsenal, Liverpool are only one point adrift of Manchester City.

Despite the threat of not being strengthened by Mohamed Salah, Jurgen Klopp still has a replacement front line. Trisula, Sadio Mane, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota could be options for Jurgen Klopp in attack.

In addition, Roberto Firmino has been declared recovered from a hamstring injury. While Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino are also available, although they did not appear in the Liverpool squad when they beat Brighton last weekend.
