Good News for Chelsea! Romelu Lukaku Predicts Agent Can Recover Faster
Some reports say that Chelsea will lose Romelu Lukaku for a few weeks. But according to the agent, the Belgian striker can recover faster than expected.
Lukaku appeared since the early minutes when Chelsea underwent a Champions League group stage match against Malmo FF on Thursday (21/10/2021) early in the morning. He was placed as the spearhead in a 3-4-2-1 formation stretcher Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea managed to win the match by a landslide score of 4-0. Unfortunately, Lukaku was unable to make a major contribution because he had to be withdrawn in the 23rd minute due to injury.
This might not be a problem if Chelsea still have Timo Werner. Unfortunately, Werner also failed to play until the last minute when he met Malmo FF and suffered an injury near the end of the first half.
The Agent is Worried
The Chelsea medical team and Tuchel have not been able to give a definite answer about how long Lukaku will be out of action. However, some reports suggest that the striker could be out of action for a month.
Fear can be seen from the words of the agent, Federico Pastorello, when asked about his client’s condition. Pastorello said he was present when Chelsea met Malmo and saw firsthand the moment when Lukaku was injured.
“I’m very worried. Romelu is a player who really wants to play and the fact that he stayed on the pitch for quite a while after the penalty doesn’t look good to me because he’s a person who usually gets up quickly.”
“The fact that he lay there for four minutes, I was with Petr Cech and told him while watching the game that this is something I’m afraid of, because he’s not someone who usually pretends,” he told Sky Sports .
Can Recover Faster
Pastorello does not know how long Lukaku will be out due to this injury, and is waiting for the results of the examination from the medical team. But he believes that his client will recover faster than expected.
“His first reaction yesterday was very sad, but everyone saw him playing well and I am 100 per cent sure that he would have scored [unless he was injured],” Pastorello continued.
“He has a physiotherapist at home and is working hard every night even before going to bed. So, if there is an estimated time to return, he will definitely come back sooner than planned,” he concluded.
While there is no definite date on how long he will be out of action, it is almost certain that Lukaku will not take part in the Premier League clash this weekend. Where Chelsea will meet Norwich City at Stamford Bridge.
