FP2 World Superbike Results at Mandalika Circuit: Toprak Razgatlioglu is dominant but Jonathan Rea is getting closer


Toprak Razgatlioglu appeared very dominant on the first day of the final World Superbike 2021 series at the Mandalika Circuit , Lombok, Friday (11/19/2021).

The Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK racer was successful in being the fastest in free practice 1 (FP1) and 2 (FP2) with a fantastic time record.

In FP2 which just ended, Topak posted a time of 1 minute 34.230 seconds. Previously in FP1, he became the first racer to have a translucent lap of 1 minute 34 seconds.

For FP2, Toprak was 0.174 seconds ahead of the driver who finished second, Jonathan Rea. Rea himself is Toprak’s main rival who is competing to become the 2021 World Superbike world champion at the Mandalika Circuit .

Rea himself had difficulties in FP1, where he only finished in eleventh position. But in FP2, he could show a significant improvement and finished second.

Garret Gerloff, who had performed in the 2020 MotoGP event with a wildcard, was in third place. Followed by Alvaro Bautista and Scott Redding who finished fourth and fifth.

The inaugural World Superbike race at the Mandalika Circuit will start tomorrow after all racers have participated in the superpole or qualifying.

Pata Yamaha WorldSBK racer, Toprak Razgatlioglu, made history at the Mandalika Circuit , Lombok. Toprak became the first racer to carve the fastest time on the circuit with a length of 4,310 km.

He was 1.544 seconds ahead of Kawasaki Racing Team’s Alex Lowes. Meanwhile, Garrett Gerloff, who strengthened the GRT Yamaha, took third place and was 1,600 seconds adrift of Toprak.

Jonathan Rea, who is currently competing with Toprak Razgatlioglu in the hunt for the 2021 World Superbike title, had to settle for 11th place. Jonathan carved a time of 1 minute 37.359 seconds or 2.401 seconds adrift of Toprak.

World Superbike Mandalika 2021 is the determination of the title between Toprak Razgatlioglu and Jonathan Rea. Currently, Toprak is at the top with a value of 531, 30 points ahead of Jonathan in second plac

Fasting 24 Years
Who would have thought that Indonesia had been fasting without holding a prestigious motorcycle event for 24 years. This year, the fast will end with the WSBK event at the Mandalika Circuit.

It is known that Indonesia last hosted an international motorcycle racing event in 1997 at the Sentul Circuit, Bogor.
