4. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)

Before Heard made an article in The Washington Post, British media The Sun first made an article calling Depp a “wife-beater” in April 2018. Because of that, Depp also filed a lawsuit against The Sun for the article. During July 2020, Depp and Heard underwent trial over The Sun article.

Then on November 2, 2020, Depp was declared defeated and the judge ruled that The Sun’s article calling Depp a “wife-beater” was substantially correct. Depp was supposed to return to play Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. However, on November 6, 2020, Depp announced that he had been told to step down by Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. then recruited Mads Mikkelsen to replace Depp as Grindelwald. The Secrets of Dumbledore was supposed to premiere in November 2021. However, due to the replacement of Grindelwald, Warner Bros. pushed its release to April 2022.

5. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

Since various evidences of Depp and Heard’s dispute circulated, many people hoped that Heard would not return to play Mera in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. In fact, a petition is circulating asking Heard to be fired from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. When Warner Bros. decide to fire Depp, they keep Heard instead.

Heard has been filming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which took place from June 2021 to January 2022. Then at the trial between Depp and Heard which took place this April, new facts were revealed about Heard’s involvement in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, through his deposition of the DC president. Films, namely Walter Hamada.

From the deposition, it was revealed that Heard was actually almost kicked out of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. For whatever reason, Heard was eventually re-involved, but he was not allowed to negotiate salary. The problem is, Heard’s involvement has made Aquaman’s social media flooded with the hashtag #CancelAmberHeard.
