Failed to win Qatar 2022 MotoGP, Pol Espargaro: I was too fast at the start of the race

Repsol Honda racer, Pol Espargaro , failed to maintain his leading position while racing at the Qatar 2022 MotoGP. He admitted to several mistakes, including his decision to immediately gaspol at the start of the race.

Pol Espargaro finished third on the podium, behind Brad Binder and Enea Bastianini. Had led the race for quite a long time, the Spaniard finally touched the finish line with a gap of 1.351 seconds.

Bastianini, on the other hand, felt very cautious going into the final laps due to the deteriorating condition of the tires. The same thing was also expressed by Espargaro, who according to him was the source of the failure to finish on the highest podium.

“I need a little more experience riding this bike. A few things happened before the finish line that really surprised me,” said Pol Espargaro quoted from Speedweek .

“My strategy is to stay behind other riders to save fuel. But I feel okay, so I just step on the gas.”

“Unfortunately, I was too fast at the start of the race, that’s what made my tires crash towards the end of the race,” he said again.

Stay Proud – ol Espargaro did not hesitate to admit his mistakes. However, he remains proud of his achievements in the MotoGP 2022 series opener .

“It was a rookie mistake, I was too excited, but still we know now that we are back in front and that Honda doesn’t just have one strong rider.”

“This is the first time in years that Honda has two fast riders and that makes me proud.
