Borussia Dortmund is rumored to be trying hard to keep Erling Haaland from leaving in the summer of 2022. One of Dortmund’s moves is to immediately offer a fantastic salary increase which is expected to keep him going.

The nominal represents an increase of almost double compared to Erling Haaland’s current salary . Currently, the Norwegian striker receives a fee of 115,000 (Rp 2.23 billion) per week.

However, if Manchester United offered a higher salary, Dortmund might find it difficult to hold on to the striker. Moreover, two other clubs interested in bringing Haaland, Chelsea and Manchester City, also have financial strength that is not kidding.

Haaland also has a release clause of £64 million. The clause could be activated in the summer of next year.

Chelsea had openly wanted to sign Haaland in the summer of 2021. However, their offer was rejected by Dortmund.

There are rumors Dortmund need to sell Haaland next year to raise funds to pay back shareholders.

However, Dortmund CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, denied these claims. He emphasized that the club’s management will decide whether Haaland will be sold or not.
