The following Hollywood actors are indeed successful. However, they once turned down a film offer that paid a very large salary!
When you talk about actors, especially Hollywood actors, you must imagine their luxurious and rich lives. The more popular the actor is, the higher the salary they will get and the fantastic value. Plus, if the film they starred in turned out to be a huge success in terms of the Box Office.
Even so, not all Hollywood actors are willing to accept film offers just because of the value of the salary offered. Each actor certainly has a project priority that must take precedence or has his own ideals in choosing a role. Due to his priorities or ideals, these actors actually miss the opportunity to get a fantastic salary!
Well, any Hollywood actor who failed to get a fantastic salary for refusing a movie offer?
1. Matt Damon (Reject Avatar )
Avatar (2009) managed to become the highest-grossing film of all time with revenues of 2.85 billion dollars (approximately Rp. 40.6 trillion)! You can imagine, right, how much profit the actors who star in this film make, especially for the main character, namely Sam Worthington. The great success of Avatar turned out to be a regret for Matt Damon.
Before Worthington was chosen to play Jake, director James Cameron initially offered the role to Damon. Cameron even promised to give 10% of his income Avatar if Damon was willing to star in the film. However, Damon turned down the offer because his shooting schedule collided with the shooting schedule for The Bourne Ultimatum (2007).
The success of Avatar is clearly a regret for Damon. You see, he has missed the opportunity to earn a salary of more than 250 million dollars (approximately IDR 3.5 trillion).
